Marcos Meseguer Escrivá

 

Marcos Meseguer es Licenciado en Ciencias Biológicas. Fue Becario FPI de la Consellería d´Educació i Ciencia, Dpto. de Obstetricia y Ginecología, en la Facultad de Medicina Y Odontología de la Universidad de Valencia. Realizó su formación predoctoral en el Reino Unido, en  el St Mary´s Hospital, Manchester University. Es Doctor cum laude en Ciencias Biológicas y Doctor Europeo y Master en Métodos de Investigación; Diseño y Estadística por la Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona.

Actualmente es Supervisor Científico del Instituto de Inferttidada de Valencia, IVI y Embriólogo Senior, además de Profesor Asociado en el Master en Biotecnología de la Reproducción, Universidad de Valencia.

Su actividad Investigadora se centra en las áreas de embriología e infertilidad masculina, donde cuenta con más de 140 artículos en revistas internacionales y 50 artículos de libros, 420 comunicaciones a congresos internacionales. Ha dirigido nueve tesis doctorales y actualmente cuenta con 8 doctorandos del programa de Biotecnología, Facultad de Biología, Universitat de València a los que supervisa.

Entre sus méritos y premios destaca el premio de la Sociedad Americana de Reproducción  en 1999, 3 premios de la Sociedad Americana de Andrología  en 2007, 2009 y 2011  y tres premios de la Sociedad Española de Fertilidad  en 2000, 2001 y 2014. Además cuenta con el Premio Robert Edwards al mejor artículo científico publicado en el RBM on Line  en 2011 y con cuatro Premios de ASEBIR  en 2009, 2011, 2013 y 2015, así como una patente internacional.
      
  

 

Nuestro grupo es pionero en la introducción y desarrollo de tecnología time-lapse, esta técnica permite el análisis de embriones sin utilizar una técnica invasiva. Representa un importante avance conceptual en la evaluación de la calidad midiendo los procesos de desarrollo embrionario contra las etapas embrionarias. Se están realizando proyectos paralelos con nuevas tecnologías de lapso de tiempo de hardware como Auxogyn-Eeva y Geri-Genea. Nuestra investigación se centra en el consumo de oxígeno, el perfil oxidativo y las secreciones de proteínas embrionarias.

Our group is a pioneer in the introduction and development of time-lapse technology, this technique allows the analysis of embryos without using an invasive technique. It represents an important conceptual advance in the evaluation of quality by measuring the processes of embryonic development against the embryonic stages. Parallel projects are being carried out with new hardware lapse technologies such as Auxogyn-Eeva and Geri-Genea. Our research focuses on oxygen consumption, oxidative profile and embryonic protein secretions.
