Dr. Carda Batalla received her degree as a Doctor in Medicine and Surgery form the University of Valencia and also received a degree in Dentistry from the same university, as well as her doctorate in Dentistry from the University of Granada.
She is a permanent Senior Professor in histology attached to the Pathology Department of the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry at the University of Valencia.
Her research activity is now developed as a member of the Histopathology and Tissue Engineering Research Group.
Her scientific work has produced 131 publications, her participation in 29 competitive projects, more than 225 contributions to conferences, 16 awards, and she has directed 9 thesis projects. She has also served as a member of the Teacher Evaluation Commission and the Study Plan Verification Commission at the National Agency for the Evaluation of Quality and Accreditation (ANECA; Agencia Nacional de la Evaluación de la Calidad y Acreditación).
She has served as the Vice-dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Odontology and is currently the Greuges ombudswoman at the University of Valencia; in the past she was the Vice-President and President of the Spanish University Student Defense State Conference (CEDU; Conferencia Estatal de Defensores Universitarios de España).
